The Heavy Equipment Operator position includes, but is not limited to:
- Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures
- Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance
- Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers
- Ensure company equipment, material, and the worksite are maintained, kept clean, and stored securely. Collect and dispose of scrap and excess materials
- Observe distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow and indicate low spots for workers to add material
- Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation.
The position requires:
- More than 10 years of experience operating Heavy Equipment
- Any combination of training and experience that would provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed is qualifying
- Knowledge of equipment, techniques, and tools used in fleet maintenance and recycling processing
- High school graduation or tested equivalent
- Group 4 license is a plus
