Equipment/Truck Driver.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

Operating heavy equipment and commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
Operating yard hustlers for onboard stevedoring operations.
Loading, unloading, securing, and transporting heavy equipment and cargo.
Loading and unloading equipment onto and off ships in port.
Operating tractor-trailers, flatbeds, hammarlifts, wheel loaders, and excavators.
Conducting routine safety and equipment inspections.
Ensuring loads are properly secured before transportation.
Following all company, road, workplace, and port safety regulations.
Maintaining vehicles and equipment in a clean and safe operating condition.
Reporting mechanical problems, damage, or safety concerns promptly.
Performing other transportation, yard, and equipment-handling duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Applicants must:

Hold a valid Group 4 Driver’s Licence.
Have proven experience operating heavy equipment and commercial vehicles.
Have a safe and clean driving record.
Be experienced in operating wheel loaders, excavators, tractor-trailers (20 ft and 40 ft), flatbeds, hammarlifts, and yard hustlers.
Have experience with loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
Be capable of working in a port/stevedoring environment.
Be physically capable of performing heavy-duty work.
Be reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to work flexible hours.
