Foreman (Civil Works) - IP Driver Projects Limited.

Position Overview
The Foreman (Civil Works) will be responsible for closely overseeing and effectively managing the site operatives to ensure the site utilities, excavations, vibro-compaction and piling work onsite is in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and budget. Must possess the knowledge, experience and confidence to engage and interact with the hourly paid site operatives from multi jurisdictions as well as coordinate the site activities of subcontractor operatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage and supervise all on-site operatives including but not limited to, directly employed labour, subcontractors, scheduling, and construction progress.
• Supervise, direct and coordinate all Labour activity pertaining to the civil works.
• Coordinate the delivery of tools, materials and equipment, both scheduling and quantities
• Undertakes daily checks of company vehicles and equipment on the project to maximize use while on the job site.
• Prepares material take-offs, schedules inspections, and conducts required soil and concrete testing.
• Daily review of construction schedule, anticipate changes in schedule and prioritize workload.
• Working knowledge of the construction documents such as drawings, scopes of work, schedules, specifications, safety manuals, supervisor manual, submittals, rough sheets etc.
• Collaborate with superintendents, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure that construction projects meet specifications and design plans
• Preparation of paperwork, timesheets and record sheets.
• Attend jobsite progress and coordination meetings when required by the General Contractors Superintendent.
• Ensuring job site safety meets or exceeds the standards set out by General Contractors Safety Policy.
• Follow direction of the Superintendent and or Project Manager and inform him or her of any issues with the crew, material, or any other issue that may occur on the jobsite.
• Attend Site Inspections when required with the Clients Special Inspector.
• Ensure all company policies, standards and procedures are adhered to and the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner
• Time management with the ability to multi-task and work with a sense of urgency

Qualifications and Skills
• Trade certificate in a construction trade is preferred but not a prerequisite.
• Basic use of Word, Excel and Bluebeam computer software.

This is a full-time position requiring 45 hours a week. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 5 pm. This position operates outdoor in the tropical environment and applicant must be able to lift up to 50lbs. The project is located on West Bay Road.
