EARLY CHILDHOOD PRACTITIONER.

Island Montessori is currently accepting applications for the position of Early Childhood Practitioner.

Candidates will be required to teach in accordance with Montessori principles without supervision, using the curriculum which meets the learning needs of all students, according to individual education needs. Candidates must be capable of leading a class of 20-25 children, prepare lesson plans, and maintain detailed student records.

The position requires the post holder to possess an internationally recognized Montessori Diploma, together with a minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a Montessori school.

The duties will include assisting with classroom setup, ensuring student work is recorded to allow for use for determining future lesson plans for individual children. Candidates will assist with all programs throughout the school day including aftercare. Candidates will be required to maintain all program records, creating a stimulating and supportive environment, and working with combined aged classes.

Minimum Requirements for this role are:
A recognized Montessori Qualification in the 3-6 Phase, together with 3-5 years experience teaching in a Montessori school.

Experience in blended classroom settings teaching to a mixed aged group;

Experience in providing differentiated learning opportunities to support, meet and challenge the needs of all students;

Be fully proficient in using Microsoft Office products, and must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written and must be organized
