Montessori del Sol, located in South Sound, is seeking passionate, dedicated, and nurturing Montessori Early Childhood Practitioners to join our growing school community.

We are currently hiring a Montessori Early Childhood Practitioner for the 2026/27 school year. The successful candidate will have a genuine love for working with children, a commitment to authentic Montessori principles, and a desire to foster independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The role includes, though is not limited to:

The Early Childhood Practitioner is responsible for supporting the Teacher/Montessori Guide, and interpreting and anticipating the needs of the Teacher/Montessori Guide in order to support learning and development goals. They assist with guiding children through a carefully prepared learning environment that fosters independence, curiosity, and holistic development. In our Montessori environment, the Early Childhood Practitioner (ECP) follows the Montessori philosophy and curriculum, ensuring that each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth is supported through hands-on, self-directed learning.

Position Summary:

Assisting with planning and delivery of the Montessori curriculum at the Toddler/Casa level;
Assisting with mapping and implementing the CIEYCF within the Montessori curriculum;
Maintaining learning and development observations;
Assisting with maintaining detailed learning and development records in our online record-keeping platform;
Assisting in the planning of student learning journeys to support optimal progress.

Contributing to parent information nights, parent conferences and individual termly reports;
Indoor and outdoor classroom preparation;
Indoor and outdoor classroom supervision;
Indoor and outdoor classroom maintenance and care;
Creation, preparation and sanitising of Montessori materials;
Assisting children with self-care;
Contributing to daily parent liaison;
Behavioural management in a Montessori setting;
Contributing to SEND record keeping and analysis in collaboration with SEND staff;
Administrative tasks associated with a classroom support role;
Camp activity planning and hosting during school holidays.
Technology Skills: Email communication, data entry, online research, and classroom management software.
Guide children’s well-being through nutrition, movement and daily wellness routines.

Working Conditions: Active classroom-based role requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and floor work with children. Includes supervision of indoor and outdoor activities in a tropical climate and regular collaboration with colleagues, children, and families.

The candidate must have:
Post-Secondary Education (Completed), Montessori Beginnings Certificate or AMI/CGMS Equivalent plus additional Montessori and Early Childhood Professional Development

A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an authentic Montessori classroom.

Knowledge of a second language is preferred.
Outstanding classroom management skills, excellent record keeping and lesson planning skills

Dependable, adaptable, and flexible team player.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with parents.

Salary: KYD $14-$16 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Hours: 45 hours per week between the hours of 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.
