As Domicile Leader for the Cayman Islands, you will be accountable for the leadership, growth and performance of Aon’s Cayman captive insurance management and brokerage operations. You will combine office leadership, client and market engagement, people leadership and commercial oversight to ensure exceptional service delivery while strengthening Aon’s position in the Cayman market.

Core responsibilities to include:

 Leading the Cayman office, driving operational excellence, service quality and delivery against client commitments
 Collaborating closely with regional and global colleagues to share best practice and deliver consistent client outcomes.
 Acting as a senior representative of Aon within the Cayman Islands insurance, reinsurance and captive community.
 Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, regulators, industry associations and key market stakeholders
 Supporting business development, retention and growth opportunities across Cayman and the wider region
 Leading, developing and inspiring a high-performing local team, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, succession planning, performance management and colleague engagement.
 Championing Aon United culture and creating an inclusive, collaborative working environment.
 Ensuring compliance with Cayman Islands regulatory requirements, Aon policies and the Risk Management Framework
 Acting as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and supporting audits, inspections and governance activities
 Building and maintain executive and senior relationships with key client contacts, brokers, reinsurers, service providers and internal Aon stakeholders, with a strong understanding of each client’s business, risk financing approach and strategy.
 Act as Aon Cayman's executive representative and primary relationship lead for the captive client portfolio, including reinsurance captives across both non-life and life & annuity sectors.

How this opportunity is different

This is a high-profile leadership role at the heart of one of Aon’s most significant captive domiciles. You will have end to end responsibility for the Cayman operation, with the scope to shape local strategy, influence regional priorities and represent Aon with senior stakeholders across the captive and insurance community. You will partner closely with leadership, work alongside specialist captive, actuarial and advisory teams, and be supported by an experienced local team committed to delivering outstanding client service. This role offers the opportunity to blend strategic leadership with hands on market engagement in a dynamic, globally connected environment.

About you

 Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management or Business Administration or a related discipline.
 Professional insurance, accounting, risk or financial services designation such as ACII, CPCU, ARe, CA, CPA, or ACCA or equivalent qualification.
 Minimum 15 years of progressive experience within the captive insurance, insurance, reinsurance, or related financial services sectors, including substantial executive leadership experience.
 Demonstrated experience leading a regulated business unit, division or operating company, with accountability for strategic planning, operational performance, financial management, governance, risk management and people leadership.
 Proven track record of developing client relationships, generating new business opportunities, retaining key accounts and contributing to revenue growth within the insurance, reinsurance or captive management industry.
 Extensive knowledge of the Cayman Islands insurance regulatory framework, captive insurance market, CIMA requirements and industry governance standards.
 Established professional network within the Cayman Islands insurance, reinsurance, captive insurance and broader financial services community.
 Commercially minded with exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
 Demonstrated experience with P&L accountability, managing budgets, financial performance, profitability targets and strategic business objectives.
 Collaborative, inclusive leadership style with a track record of developing and inspiring high-performing teams.
 This client facing position will require overtime and travel outside the Cayman Islands at short notice.

Salary and Benefits

Aon offers competitive compensation with a salary in the range of USD200,000-USD300,000 per annum. This is a full-time position. Standard office hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or 9 am to 5 pm. As a professional and managerial role, overtime may be required.
