Deputy Manager / Manager - Operations/IT.

Position Summary

The Deputy Manager / Manager – Operations & IT will drive the effective use of digital platforms and IT-enabled operations across the hospital network. The role combines technical expertise in healthcare IT systems with business acumen in analytics, automation, and cost optimization. The incumbent will oversee HIS, EHR, Oracle ERP/Finance, and other enterprise applications, while ensuring operational efficiency, financial accountability, and strategic alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Healthcare IT & Operations
- Lead administration and optimization of HIS, EHR, and Oracle ERP/Finance systems.
- Ensure seamless workflows across clinical, diagnostic, administrative, and finance functions.
- Drive automation initiatives across HIS, ERP, and back-office functions to reduce manual effort and costs.
- Ensure compliance with HL7, ICD-10, NABH, JCI, and data privacy standards.

Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Leverage BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or equivalent) to provide actionable insights.
- Build and maintain dashboards for patient volumes, revenue, cost, and operational KPIs.
- Support senior management in P&L analysis, budgeting, and cost control through data-driven insights.
- Partner with clinical and business teams to measure ROI of IT-enabled initiatives.

Financial & ERP Systems
- Oversee Oracle ERP modules (GL, AP, AR, SCM, Procurement) and ensure HIS integration.
- Support Finance teams in reconciliations, reporting, and month-end closing.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and cost reduction across financial workflows.

Infrastructure & Security
- Oversee IT infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud, storage, and security).
- Ensure system uptime, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Optimize IT spend through vendor negotiations and resource utilization.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead IT operations team and ensure SLA-driven support to clinical and business users.
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and finance leadership to align IT with organizational goals.
- Manage vendors and consultants to ensure cost-effective delivery of IT projects.
- Support IT strategy in hospital expansions and new unit rollouts.

Skills & Qualifications:
- MBA from a top B-School with specialization in Operations, IT Management, or Healthcare Management.
- 8–12 years’ experience in Healthcare IT / Hospital Operations / ERP Management, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of HIS, EHR, ERP (Oracle Finance preferred), and healthcare IT standards.
- Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and data-driven decision-making.
- Solid understanding of P&L, budgeting, and financial controls.
- Demonstrated success in cost optimization, automation projects, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.

Preferred Experience:
- Experience in large hospital chains
- Exposure to cloud-hosted HIS/EHR and Oracle Fusion/Cloud ERP.
- Experience in healthcare analytics, digital transformation, or process re-engineering.
