LYNCH DISTRIBUTORS is looking for a reliable, safety-focused Delivery Driver / Laborer to get our customers’ goods to them safely, on time and in full — and to lend a hand in the warehouse and retail spaces that keeps the operation moving. If you take pride in a clean driving record, a well-loaded truck and a job finished properly, we want to hear from you.

Job Purpose: To ensure the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of goods to customers, while also providing hands-on labor and warehouse support to maintain efficient daily operations.

What You'll Do:
• Deliver customer orders across Grand Cayman safely, on time and in full, working to the daily run sheet.
• Load, secure and unload vehicles by hand and with hand trucks, dollies and pallet jacks.
• Check every order against the paperwork before departure and at hand-over and return signed proof of delivery the same day.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and report any defect immediately.
• Pick, pack, stage and put away stock, and support cycle counts and stock takes.
• Carry out general labor and facility duties — clean-ups, pallet breakdown, waste removal and equipment maneuverings.
• Represent the Company professionally at every customer stop.

What You'll Need:
• Must be 25 years or older (insurance requirement).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (written/ verbal) and interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
• Self-motivated and results oriented,
• Valid Cayman Islands driver’s license, minimum Group 2 (trucks not exceeding 8,500 lbs.), with a clean driving abstract.
• Minimum two years’ licensed driving experience, and two years in delivery driving and/or warehouse or manual labor work.
• Able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. repeatedly throughout a shift.
• High school education, with functional literacy and numeracy in English.
• Satisfactory Police Clearance Certificate and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Legally entitled to work in the Cayman Islands.
• Available for early starts, occasional Saturdays and overtime at short notice.

Working Conditions:
• Predominantly outdoor work, plus air and non-air-conditioned warehouse and facility space, with year-round exposure to heat, humidity, sun and sudden rain.
• Considerable physical effort: repeated lifting of 10–70 lbs., occasional team lifts above 100 lbs., prolonged standing, walking, bending and climbing in and out of the vehicle.
• Work around moving vehicles, forklifts and pedestrians.
• Sustained concentration while driving in traffic and maneuvering in/out of confined spaces.

An Asset:
• Group 3 or Group 4 license.
• Certified forklift operator; defensive driving or first aid certification.
• Container devanning or electronic proof-of-delivery experience.

Overtime: Yes - at no less than 1.5x basic hourly rate; public holidays at 2x basic rate.
Note that this position is temporary for a minimum period of three (3) months, max of six (6) months.
