Construction Manager.

A major international construction firm is actively recruiting an exceptional Construction Manager to oversee one of the Caribbean's most ambitious luxury hospitality developments. This premier opportunity represents a career-defining role for an experienced construction leader ready to orchestrate a complex, multimillion-dollar project combining sophisticated structural engineering, luxury-grade finishes, and world-class project execution standards.

The role covers full supervision of reinforced concrete works (columns, shear walls, cores, ground beams) and post-tensioned flat plate and banded slab systems across multiple towers.
The candidate will define construction methods, pour sequences and rotation cycles, manage formwork systems (DOKA, MEVA or equivalent) in coordination with the Temporary Works Inspector, oversee PT tendon installation and stressing operations with the PT Supervisor, manage concrete supply, placement, curing and testing against approved mix designs and chloride limits, supervise reinforcement subcontractors and bar schedule compliance, and coordinate with the structural engineer on RFIs and shop drawings.

The Construction Manager role transcends concrete operations. It demands strategic project leadership encompassing the entire development lifecycle—from early-stage coordination with owners, architects, and international design teams through final commissioning.
Successful candidates will implement best-in-class project management methodologies specifically tailored to luxury construction environments. They will maintain stringent quality control benchmarks, oversee detailed mockups and material evaluations, and lead frequent high-precision site inspections to ensure every element meets luxury-grade standards.
Financial stewardship is paramount. The Construction Manager will manage complex, multimillion-dollar budgets characterized by layered cost structures, specialty trades, imported materials, and custom fabrication. This includes detailed cost-planning activities—estimating, procurement, value engineering, and cash-flow forecasting—while maintaining absolute financial transparency with clients and stakeholders through refined reporting and proactive budget risk mitigation.
Schedule management demands sophisticated planning capabilities. The successful candidate will develop highly detailed CPM schedules accounting for proprietary PT materials, long-lead custom fabrication, multi-trade integration, and Caribbean logistics constraints. Implementing acceleration strategies and resequencing without compromising quality or safety exemplifies the caliber of problem-solving required.
Stakeholder relationships are paramount. The Construction Manager serves as the senior liaison to high-net-worth clients, institutional owners, luxury brand partners, and world-renowned architects. White-glove communication, absolute confidentiality, and premium service standards must characterize every interaction. Executive-level project meetings, design coordination sessions, and owner presentations are routine responsibilities.

The ideal candidate brings 10 or more years of construction management experience, with a minimum of 5 years specialized in high-end, large-scale projects. A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is essential; an advanced degree is highly valued.
Demonstrated expertise in post-tensioned slab construction and complex RC/PT structural systems is non-negotiable. Solid working knowledge of ACI 318 and IBC building codes is required. Proven track records managing elite subcontractors and sophisticated site teams on demanding projects are expected.
Technical proficiency with advanced scheduling software (Primavera, Microsoft Project), CAD platforms, and comprehensive project management tools is mandatory. Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and client-relations skills are equally critical. Fluent English—both spoken and written—is essential for managing international design teams and high-profile stakeholders.

Requirements: civil or structural engineering degree, 10+ yrs in RC and PT slab construction management, solid knowledge of ACI 318 / IBC, proven subcontractor management. English fluent.
