Loeb Smith Attorneys (the "Firm") is seeking a Client Relationship Manager to join the Firm's Client Relationship Management team and work closely with the Firm's Partners and Attorneys to manage, develop and strengthen the Firm's relationships with its clients. The duties of the role will include, but are not limited to:
(i) liaising with one or more of the Firm's Partners to reach out to clients in the United States and Latin America who are particularly impacted by the Cayman Islands International Tax Co-operation (Economic Substance) Act (As Revised) (the "Economic Substance Act") and who will need to visit and have staff in the Cayman Islands in order to comply with the Economic Substance Act;
(ii) liaising with the Firm's clients in respect CIMA’s AML Rule compliance;
(iii) taking part in other client and prospective client outreach, coordinating client visits to the Cayman Islands for Economic Substance Act purposes, including the holding of board meetings, and managing clients' requirements while on Island;
(iv) managing the responsibilities of AML Officers in holding AML compliance meetings with fund boards of directors, administrators and investment managers;
(v) working with the lawyers in the Firm's Corporate team to develop and enhance their working relationships with the Firm's clients; and
(vi) undertaking other administrative duties and tasks related to maintaining strong relationships between the Firm and its clients.
Required qualifications, skills and experience: Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, with at least 6–7 years of experience working in a professional services firm in a client relationship management, client service or business development role, including managing the liaison, communication and administration of client relationships in the United States and/or Latin America. A working knowledge of the Economic Substance Act and of Cayman Islands anti-money laundering (AML) requirements applicable to investment funds is required, together with familiarity with Cayman Islands corporate and fund structures. Strong interpersonal, organisational and presentation skills.
