CARPENTER / STEEL FIXER.

ALAYSHA CONSTRUCTION
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Task Carpenter / Steel Fixer to perform a variety of construction duties, including carpentry, steel reinforcement, formwork, and general construction tasks. The successful candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general carpentry work, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wooden structures and materials.
Construct, install, and dismantle formwork for concrete works.
Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and measurements.
Cut, bend, tie, and install reinforcing steel (rebar) according to drawings and specifications.
Prepare and secure steel reinforcement before concrete placement.
Assist with concrete preparation, pouring, leveling, and finishing as required.
Carry out general construction, repair, maintenance, and finishing work.
Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and correctly.
Measure materials accurately and minimize material waste.
Assist other trades and construction workers when required.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
Follow all company health and safety procedures and construction-site regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or project manager.

Requirements

Previous experience as a carpenter, steel fixer, or in a similar construction position.
Practical knowledge of carpentry, formwork, and steel reinforcement.
Ability to read basic construction drawings and follow measurements and specifications.
Ability to use common hand and power tools.
Physically fit and able to perform manual labor, including lifting and working at heights where required.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, punctual, and willing to work flexible hours when required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Relevant trade certification or formal training is an advantage.

Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed on construction sites and may involve exposure to dust, noise, weather conditions, and other construction hazards.
May require standing, bending, lifting, climbing, and working at heights for extended periods.
Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all site safety requirements.
