Carpenter/Mason.

The Carpenter/Mason will be responsible for carrying out skilled carpentry, masonry and general construction works on residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate must be capable of working independently and as part of a construction team, interpreting drawings and specifications, and completing assigned works to the required quality and safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform rough and finish carpentry, including formwork, framing, roofing, doors, windows, partitions, cabinetry and other timber works.
- Construct, repair and finish concrete block walls and other masonry structures.
- Carry out concrete works, including preparation, forming, placing, levelling and finishing.
- Perform plastering/rendering, screeding and general masonry finishing.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and install construction materials accurately.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, measurements and specifications.
- Set out and complete works to the required line, level, dimensions and finish.
- Carry out repairs, alterations, renovations and general building maintenance.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools and construction equipment safely.
- Estimate and identify materials required for assigned tasks and minimise material wastage.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to ensure works are completed efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with all site health and safety requirements.
- Perform other construction-related duties as reasonably assigned.

Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 3 years’ practical experience in carpentry and masonry/construction works. The applicant should demonstrate competency in both trades, have good knowledge of construction methods and materials, be able to work with minimal supervision, and possess strong attention to detail and workmanship.

Physical Requirements: Must be physically capable of performing construction activities, including lifting and carrying materials, working at heights, standing for extended periods and working in varying site and weather conditions.
