Senior Managers — responsibilities and required experience:
• Provide guidance and participate in performing audit procedures, especially focusing on complex and/or specialized issues, as well as collaborate to plan engagement objectives and
an audit strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately addresses risk
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business decision-makers
throughout the year to communicate value and inform them of the firm’s scope of services,
and successfully monitor the engagement team against the budget
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments
• Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback/training
• Generate new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions and achieve growth by understanding EY and its service lines and actively assessing/presenting ways to apply knowledge and services
• Experience participating in engagement management, engagement execution and reporting, and client relationship-building
• Experience identifying new business opportunities at existing or potentially new clients

To qualify for the role you must have:

- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field
- An internationally recognized professional accounting certification, such as a CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent
- Minimum of seven (7) years of recent relevant work experience within a public accounting firm, with demonstrated career progression and leadership skills; experience in the financial services industry is required
- Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS
- Engagement management, execution and reporting skills, and the ability to build relationships with clients with a diverse range of backgrounds
- Confidence in your ability to prioritize when managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to management
- The flexibility to constantly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

The successful candidates must have strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to work a flexible schedule as overtime will be required, as well as a dedication to teamwork and integrity within a professional environment.
