Investment Accountant.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly & ad hoc portfolio reports;
• Perform reconciliations between internal systems and broker/custodial accounts;
• Perform trade validation, execution and reconciliations;
• Review of financial statements of investment clients
• Execution of administrative investment instructions and associated trade data entry;
• Liaise with auditors and maintain relationships with third party service providers;
• Cash management of client cash and placing, coordinating and execution of client transactions
• Managing account opening process for new clients as well as account opening process for third party funds and custodians
• Managing periodic reviews of client files
• Preparation of documents for board and other internal meetings
• Be prepared to work extra hours and substantial overtime to meet strict deadlines, particularly at quarter and month ends.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience required:
• Business/Accounting degree required; graduate degree preferred;
• CA/CPA designation required; CFA Qualification an asset
• Minimum 5 years post qualified experience preferred in financial services with ‘Big 4’ training’;
• Experience supervising and coordinating teams;
• Strong working knowledge of Bloomberg and Pacer Portfolio Management System an asset;
• Experience and familiarity with IFRS;
• Experience with preparing and reviewing financial statements of trusts and companies;
• Experience with Viewpoint and Addepar an asset;
• Experience trading equities, fixed income & options an asset;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a very positive attitude towards team building and client relationships.
