Encompass Ltd. is seeking a driven and detail-oriented full-time Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of high-end construction projects. This is a development-focused role suited to a technically capable candidate who is eager to build practical experience in construction project management, estimating, drawing review, project documentation, change management, and site coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Site Superintendents, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to support project execution from planning through completion.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist Project Managers with the coordination and administration of active construction projects.
• Review construction drawings and specifications, including architectural, structural, mechanical,
• electrical, and civil documents.
• Identify drawing coordination issues, missing information, or potential risks and escalate them promptly.
• Assist with take-offs, scopes of work, estimates, procurement packages, and cost comparisons.
• Support the preparation, tracking, and management of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project
• documentation.
• Help monitor project schedules, procurement items, budgets, and outstanding action items.
• Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams to support timely
• project delivery.
• Maintain accurate project records using Microsoft 365, Buildertrend, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and other
• construction industry tools.
• Support quality control processes and assist with documenting project progress and closeout items.
• Act as a responsive team player with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, estimating, project coordination, or a related role.
• Strong technical base with the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of construction materials, methods, quality control, and practical problem-solving.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and the ability to quickly learn construction management, drawing review, and documentation tools such as Buildertrend, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
• Strong organisational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and willingness to learn construction project management processes.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work within deadlines.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, 45 hours per week.
Compensation
Salary range: CI$45,000–CI$55,000 per annum, based on qualifications, knowledge, and experience, plus
statutory benefits in accordance with Cayman Islands labour law.
