ASSISTANT COOK.

POPO JEBS ENTERPRISES LTD T/A POPO JEB'S RESTAURANT & BAR are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic Assistant Cook to support our kitchen team with food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, work well as part of a team, and take pride in preparing quality food.

Key Responsibilities
Assist the Cook/Chef with daily food preparation and meal service.
Prepare, wash, peel, cut, and portion ingredients as directed.
Assist with cooking and plating meals according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure food is prepared and handled safely and hygienically.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils as needed.
Properly store food and ingredients and assist with checking inventory.
Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
Help receive and organize food and kitchen supplies.
Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
Follow instructions from the Cook/Chef and assist with other kitchen duties as required.
Maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward coworkers, clients, and guests.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years experience
Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
Knowledge of proper food hygiene and sanitation practices.
Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and portion guidelines.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or varying shifts when required.
