We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant on a temporary basis for a duration of 3-6 months, to support a broad range of accounting, financial processing, analysis, and reporting activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records and supports the preparation of financial statements and audit documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing accounts and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for financial statements and disclosures.
• Reconcile accounts and recommend corrective actions where required.
• Prepare and process journal entries for approval.
• Support routine financial transactions, including banking, revenue, expenses, assets, inventory, and payroll.
• Review and validate payroll changes, analyze payroll data, and prepare related journal entries.
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, notes, disclosures, and management reports.
• Support system enhancements, upgrades, or migrations within the finance function.
• Participate in relevant training to ensure continued professional development.
• Provide guidance and technical support to colleagues as required.
• Undertake additional duties consistent with the role as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting designation (e.g. CA, CPA, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3-4 years’ progressive experience in accounting, audit, or financial management.
• Demonstrated experience in applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Prior experience providing guidance, oversight, or informal supervision within a finance team.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate it clearly to non-specialist stakeholders.
• Experience working with financial systems and accounting software.
Additional Information:
• This role may occasionally require work outside standard business hours to meet reporting deadlines.
• The position involves a moderate level of decision-making that can impact departmental operations.
