The Cayman Islands Crisis Centre (CICC) invites suitably qualified candidates including Caymanian applicants to apply for the position of:

YOUTH AND COMMUNITY COORDINATOR
to join our team in providing life-changing support to survivors of domestic abuse. This role is based on Grand Cayman and is essential to the delivery of trauma-informed care to individuals of all ages and genders, while also playing a key role in outreach and other programmes support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed, client-centered support to children, youth, and adult clients affected by domestic abuse.
• Deliver intervention, prevention, psychoeducational, and developmental services through CICC programmes.
• Support children and youth experiencing trauma, anxiety, behavioural challenges, and other impacts of domestic abuse.
• Develop and deliver age-appropriate presentations, workshops, and educational sessions in schools and youth-serving organizations.
• Support youth-focused community outreach initiatives, campaigns, media appearances, trainings, and information events.
• Respond to 24/7 Crisis Line and administrative calls and provide Emergency Shelter coverage when required.
• Assist with volunteer coordination and cross-agency collaboration.
• Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and organizational engagements.
• Assist with programme logistics, supplies, errands, donations, and maintaining an organized office environment.
• Uphold CICC policies, safeguarding standards, confidentiality, professional boundaries, and client dignity.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related social science field.
• Three years of experience preferred.
• Knowledge and expertise in supporting victims of domestic abuse, crisis intervention, child safeguarding and therapeutic practices for children (i.e. play-therapy).
• An effective communicator - public speaking experience is essential.
• Ability to remain neutral and maintain objective professional boundaries whilst also showing empathy and compassion.
• Proficient knowledge of case management principles, strong verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must possess sensitivity, maturity, professionalism, self-reliance, independence, strong work ethics and ability to work in a demanding environment.
• Ability to work effectively autonomously and in a team environment.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (a total of 40 hours or more per week).
Flexibility is required to work occasional mornings, evenings, weekends, and outside regular hours to meet client, outreach, and organizational needs.

Compensation: Salary CI$22.00-CI$25.00 p/hour plus statutory benefits.
