This position reports to the SVP, Head of Group Asset Management and is responsible for directing the strategy for fixed income analysis and portfolio management across the Group, with responsibility for the management of the team that builds dedicated fixed income product portfolios.
Your responsibilities will include:
• directing the activities of the fixed income managers and managing employees involved specifically in fixed income so as to maximise profitability, efficiency and growth
• developing and implement a long-term strategy for the Group’s fixed income portfolio management activities
• producing positive and stable outperformance against respective benchmarks
• ensuring adherence to guidelines, policies and procedures with regard to portfolio activity
• developing and implementing marketing strategies for fixed income products and services
• assisting with the evaluation and implementation of automated solutions to enhance efficiency for fixed income portfolio management in the context of Group Asset Management.
Your qualifications and skills include:
• Master’s degree in business, finance or economics, or a Chartered Financial Analyst designation plus a minimum of ten years’ relevant experience
• excellent knowledge of fixed income products, services, and supporting technologies
• excellent knowledge of the existing and potential client base for fixed income services in offshore jurisdictions, including in-depth knowledge of the captive insurance industry
• knowledge of asset and liability management processes for financial institutions with in-depth knowledge of securities markets relevant to the asset side of the balance sheet
• in-depth knowledge of global investment-grade fixed income markets in multiple currencies with a proven track record of analytical and technical ability
• ability to contribute to a global research platform for fixed income and macro-economic strategies
• proven ability to direct the credit analysis function within a banking or asset management platform
• excellent knowledge of strategic planning process
• excellent communication, marketing and sales skills
• proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
