Investment Advisor Associate.

What is the opportunity?
The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Grand Cayman is looking for a resourceful, efficient and collaborative individual to join our leading wealth management firm as an Investment Advisor Associate.

What will you do?
• Assist with management of client investment portfolios including executing client trades directly into the capital markets, portfolio re-balancing and trade settlement
• Execute client wire payment and securities transfer requests
• Conduct timely review of daily reporting to follow-up on client transactions
• Be well-versed in internal controls and industry regulatory requirements, ensuring client files and other necessary documentation is accurate and compliant
• Assist with the welcoming and onboarding of new clients including ensuring compliance with all regulatory/AML requirements and RBC policies
• Maintain client service plans with responsibility for managing timelines and key dates for client contact to ensure clients receive excellent service
• Respond to client inquiries in an understanding and time-efficient manner
• Effectively manage incoming communications from clients, colleagues, and other internal/external partners
• Leverage your planning skills to coordinate and prepare for meetings with clients or prospects
• Provide marketing and administrative support for the maintenance of electronic and physical communication channels
• Support the wealth management process and maintain an audit of wealth management activities

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
• Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) or equivalent; or the ability to obtain with 6 months of employment
• Derivatives Fundamentals Online (DFOL) as required by role and client portfolio complexity
• A relevant university degree
• Relevant international financial services experience and willingness to engage in continuing education
• Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite
• High quality time management and organization skills
• Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm and friendly to our clients
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-have
• Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures
• Experience in the securities industry
• Familiarity with wealth management
• Planning concepts
