SENIOR CHIEF ENGINEER.

JOB TITLE: SENIOR CHIEF ENGINEER
SALARY: CI$145,000.00 - CI$175,000.00 pa
WORKING HOURS: 40 HOURS PER WEEK
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: FULL TIME

The Senior Chief Engineer will lead a large team, providing technical and engineering leadership across the company’s properties to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, efficient facility operations and maintenance, staff development, and service excellence.

DO YOU HAVE:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in Class A commercial property maintenance, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, supported by relevant professional certifications in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering disciplines.
Experience managing large (500,000sf+) properties.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse teams.
Knowledge of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, pumps, generators, elevators, chillers, cooling towers, swimming pools, irrigation, access controls, and associated systems.
Knowledge of Building Management Systems and automated work order/maintenance management systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of NFPA standards, applicable building codes, safety requirements, compliance, and industry best practices.
Proven professionalism and collaboration skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with employees, customers, contractors, and senior leadership, including in boardroom settings.

WE WANT YOU TO:

Provide strategic and operational leadership for assigned company properties.
Lead the Facilities function in achieving operational goals and objectives through effective leadership, mentoring, coaching, and development of staff.
Develop and implement standards and programs for effective building maintenance
Develop and adhere to the preventative maintenance program for the company’s properties.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, building performance, maintenance practices, and overall customer experience.
Lead risk management, health and safety efforts.
Develop and enforce departmental risk and safety policies and champion a Zero Harm safety-first culture.
Develop scopes of work and provide oversight to capital project delivery.
Monitor systems of the buildings and ensure all maintenance or repairs are performed as needed.
Ensure the maintenance team is properly prepared for disasters and that emergency preparedness activities are carried out
Keep abreast of new developments, standards and techniques in the field of asset and facilities management to identify opportunities for improvement.
Be on call availability for emergencies and projects as required.
