Public Area Attendant
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of public and back of the house areas including employee male locker rooms, restrooms and showers. Dust surfaces and clean glass and floor surfaces in public and employee areas using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment. Empty trash containers, ashtrays and ash urns in public areas into proper containers. Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages. Clean and maintain lights. Post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary. Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs. Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments. Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Excellent customer service skills
• Previous guest service skills in a luxury resort/ five star hotels (preferred)
• Previous experience in performing floor care duties and carpet cleaning using carpet machines, buffing machines would be a plus.
• Ability to communicate in English required (read, write and speak).
• Ability to move, lift carry, push, pull and place objects up to 60 pounds without assistance
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
• Ability to work a flexible scheduled including evenings, weekends and holidays
