Prep Cook.

We are accepting applications for the following position:

PREP COOK

The Prep Cook will assist in the successful operation of the culinary department, ensuring sanitation and food standards are achieved.

RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE:

Prepare and cook foods of all types, following the recipes and kitchen standards.
Assist the Line Cooks with the main prep list and any requirement.
Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Follow proper handling and right temperature of all food products.
Operate and maintains all department equipment and reports malfunctions.
Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
Perform other related duties from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum one (1) years’ experience in a high-volume hotel and restaurant environment as a Prep Cook or similar.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well in environment with time constraints
Ability to troubleshoot effectively
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, performing work accurately and efficiently
Demonstrated excellent communication skills
Ability to lift 50lbs; sit, stand, walk for an extended period of time.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including work outside of normal business hours (i.e. evenings, weekends and public holidays, as needed)
