PAINTER / DRYWALL FINISHER.

The Painter/Drywall Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, preparing, and finishing drywall surfaces, as well as preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces to a high standard.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Install, repair, and replace drywall, gypsum board, and related materials.
• Measure, cut, fit, and secure drywall panels according to specifications.
• Apply joint compound, tape, and finishing materials to drywall joints, seams, corners, and screw holes.
• Sand and smooth drywall surfaces to achieve a clean and even finish.
• Repair cracks, holes, water damage, and other imperfections in walls and ceilings.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and priming as required.
• Apply paint, primer, stains, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Match existing paint colors and finishes where required.
• Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, windows, and other surfaces from paint, dust, and damage.
• Perform interior and exterior painting work as assigned.
• Ensure straight, clean lines around doors, windows, trim, ceilings, and other surfaces.
• Use ladders, scaffolding, power tools, and other equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain and clean painting tools, drywall tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Properly store and handle paints, solvents, drywall materials, and other supplies.
• Identify and report surface defects, moisture issues, damage, or other conditions that may affect the quality of the work.
• Follow project specifications, company procedures, and health and safety requirements.
• Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the project.
• Coordinate with other trades and team members to avoid delays or damage to completed work.
• Complete work within established schedules while maintaining quality standards.
• Perform other reasonable duties related to the position as assigned by management.
