Job Summary
Dependable Construction & Repair is seeking a skilled, dedicated, and versatile Mason / Carpenter with extensive dual-trade experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing high-quality masonry, concrete work, framing, and finish carpentry on residential and commercial building, renovation, and repair projects across Grand Cayman.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Masonry & Concrete:
Lay concrete blocks, bricks, stone, and tiles with precision and high standard of finish.

Set up formwork, pour, spread, screed, and finish concrete for slabs, footings, walkways, columns, and beams.

Mix, apply, and repair plaster, render, mortar, and stucco to interior and exterior surfaces.

Repair cracked masonry, damaged concrete structures, and grout block walls.

Carpentry & Framing:
Construct structural framework, including walls, floors, partitions, and timber roof trusses.

Build, erect, and strip wooden formwork and shuttering for concrete placement.

Install doors, windows, drywall, baseboards, trims, cabinetry, and hardware.

Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, timber composites, and alternative building materials.

General Site Operations:
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans accurately.

Safely operate and maintain all hand and power tools (saws, drills, mixers, angle grinders, levels).

Ensure strict adherence to job-site safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of verifiable, hands-on experience in both masonry and carpentry within the construction industry.

Trade Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of building techniques, concrete finishes, formwork fabrication, and structural carpentry.

Physical Demands: Must be physically fit, capable of lifting and moving materials weighing 50+ lbs, comfortable working at heights on scaffolding/ladders, and able to work outdoors in tropical conditions.

Work Ethic & Reliability: Punctual, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and collaborative within a crew.

General Requirements:

Clean Police Clearance Certificate.

Verifiable professional references from previous employers.

Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays as project schedules require.
