Job Summary
The Maintenance Man is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general upkeep of the company’s trucks, trailers, equipment, tools, and facilities. The position helps ensure that all vehicles and equipment remain in safe, reliable, and good working condition to support the company’s daily trucking operations.
Duties:
* Maintain and repair trucks, trailers, and equipment.
* Perform routine vehicle inspections.
* Check oil, fluids, tires, brakes, batteries, and lights.
* Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
* Assist with vehicle breakdowns and emergency repairs.
* Maintain tools and workshop equipment.
* Keep the maintenance area clean and safe.
* Report major mechanical issues to management.
Requirements:
*experience in vehicle or equipment maintenance.
* Basic mechanical knowledge.
* Ability to use hand and power tools.
* Basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
* Physically fit and able to work outdoors.
* Reliable and safety-conscious.
