KITCHEN HELPER/GENERAL CREW.

Mix & Match in the Box Ltd T/A Mix and Match in a Box is looking to hire a hardworking and dependable kitchen helper/general crew.

Key Responsibilities:
Greeting customers while offering super customer service attention, taking, assembling, and presenting food orders, requesting and receiving payment, and operating the cash register.
Cleaning in accordance with the restaurant’s sanitary standards, including but not limited to sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning walls, tables, counters, kitchen and service equipment.
Cleaning the customer service area, removing trash, and cleaning restrooms.
Assisting new crew members in learning their new job skills.
Attend to deliveries such as off-loading trucks, storage, and movement of raw product to the work area.
Checking stock of products and ensuring proper stock levels and rotation.
Checking equipment to ensure that it is in proper working order, letting the maintenance team know if there might be a problem.
Backing up other crew members in their jobs, assisting in any area to ensure that the food is being prepared, packaged, and delivered to customers promptly.
Ensure the timely movement of completed food orders from kitchen to customer table.
Cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment, assists in basic food preparation
Cleaning the kitchen station all the time, washing the dishes and utensils.
Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor.
Making sure the kitchen equipment is well cleaned after use.
Stocking the food items properly in the cold storage.
Neatly putting away all utensils, cooking instruments, dishes, and cutting boards in their respective places.
Maintaining proper sanitation of the kitchen.
Following all food safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Proven experience helping in kitchen settings.
The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
The ability to safely use kitchen equipment and appliances.
Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
With a Clean Police record.
