Industrial Construction Cleaner.

Job Summary

The Industrial Construction Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and maintaining industrial and construction work areas to ensure they are safe, clean, organized, and ready for ongoing work or project completion. The position involves removing construction debris, dust, dirt, waste, and other materials from industrial facilities, construction sites, equipment areas, and common areas.

Key Responsibilities
Clean industrial and construction areas, including floors, walls, workspaces, machinery areas, and common facilities.
Remove dust, dirt, concrete residue, scrap materials, packaging, and general construction debris.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, pressure wash, and perform other required cleaning tasks.
Collect and properly dispose of construction and industrial waste in designated areas.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms, lunchrooms, offices, break areas, and other facilities.
Perform detailed cleaning during and after construction projects.
Assist with site preparation and final cleanup before inspections or client handover.
Safely operate industrial cleaning equipment, including vacuums, pressure washers, floor machines, and other equipment as trained.
Use cleaning chemicals and materials safely and according to manufacturer instructions.
Follow all company, construction-site, and occupational health and safety requirements.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety boots, gloves, eye protection, hard hats, and other equipment as required.
Identify and report hazards, spills, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
Maintain cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies in good working condition.
Work safely around contractors, heavy equipment, vehicles, machinery, and other industrial activities.
Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or project manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
Previous experience in industrial, construction, commercial, or heavy-duty cleaning is preferred.
Ability to work safely in an active construction or industrial environment.
Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and safe chemical handling.
Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
OSHA or other safety training is an advantage, where applicable.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and work in confined or difficult-to-access areas.
Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials.
Ability to work in dusty, noisy, hot, or outdoor industrial environments.
Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and physical tasks safely.
Working Conditions

The position may involve working around construction equipment, heavy machinery, dust, noise, chemicals, debris, elevated areas, and changing weather conditions. Strict compliance with site safety rules and PPE requirements is required at all times.
