ICE MANUFACTURER / ICE CARVER
Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands | Full-Time | CI$8.75–CI$10.00 per hour
Mike's Ice & Refrigeration Ltd. is seeking a skilled, reliable and motivated Ice Manufacturer / Ice Carver to produce high-quality ice products, including hand-carved specialty craft ice for commercial and hospitality applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manufacture, process, package and store ice products to Company quality standards.
• Hand carve and shape specialty craft ice, including precision-cut cubes, spheres, blocks and customized products.
• Safely operate chainsaws, hand-carving tools and specialized ice-cutting equipment.
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, sanitation and contamination-prevention practices.
• Inspect, clean and perform basic maintenance on production and carving equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe production environment; assist with stock handling, packaging and general plant duties.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum three (3) years of demonstrable practical experience in ice manufacturing, specialty ice carving or a closely related professional ice-production environment.
• Proven hand-carving skills and practical chainsaw ice-carving experience, including safe equipment operation.
• Knowledge of workplace safety, sanitation and hygiene standards for consumable ice.
• Attention to detail, reliable teamwork and ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy ice blocks and work in cold or wet production areas.
• Flexibility to work scheduled shifts according to operational requirements.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Hourly wage: CI$8.75–CI$10.00, depending on experience and qualifications. Scheduled workweek: 45 hours, with additional hours as operationally required. Health insurance, pension contributions, paid vacation and statutory benefits in accordance with applicable Cayman Islands law.
