Village Montessori nestled in the heart of Camana Bay is recruiting a English speaking Helper / One-On-One Aid that is warm, cheerful, dedicated and flexible; who wants to be a part of a team that is passionate about inclusion.
The candidate would:
-be responsible for shadowing a child with neurodiversity
-supporting instruction delivered by the lead teacher/directresses using a least-intrusive approach
-implementing individual accommodations for learning, such as: visual supports, redirection, movement breaks, sensory provision, etc.
-facilitating social inclusion via modelling and recognizing play, conversation, and other social goals
-flexibly fading out and/or increasing support responsively to student needs
The candidate must be patient and kind and able to manage children with neurodiversity.
We are looking for team players willing to make a long term commitment to children with neurodiversity and the school.
