The duties of the successful applicant will include, but are not limited to:
*Setting up and maintaining temporary fencing, signage, safety barriers, ramps, and other temporary structures to ensure site security and compliance with workplace safety requirements.
*Maintaining clean, safe, tidy, and accessible work areas by removing debris, waste, and excess materials and carrying out general cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, and pressure washing as required.
*Performing basic carpentry duties, including assisting with framing and trim installation, repairing and installing wooden structures, doors, frames, panels, and other fixtures.
*Assisting with masonry work, including mixing, preparing, and applying concrete or mortar as required.
*Performing basic painting, staining, skimming, surface preparation, and finishing work.
*Assisting with drywall installation, repairs, and finishing.
*Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs, including repairing or installing doors, windows, handles, shelves, brackets, signage, hardware, and other fixtures.
*Supporting skilled tradespeople by holding and positioning materials, preparing and cutting materials, mixing construction materials, and assisting with other tasks as required.
*Moving, loading, unloading, organizing, and safely storing tools, equipment, machinery, and construction materials, including materials delivered to or transported from the worksite.
*Monitoring inventory and supplies, reporting shortages or damaged materials, and ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained, cleaned, and stored.
*Conducting basic checks and maintenance of tools and equipment and promptly reporting faulty, damaged, or unsafe equipment or site conditions to the site supervisor.
*Following all workplace health, safety, environmental, and quality standards and procedures at all times.
*Ensuring all assigned work is completed efficiently and to the required standard.
*Performing any other duties reasonably assigned by the site supervisor in support of the successful completion of the project.
