Generator Technician at Corporate Electric Ltd.

The generator technician /electrician at Corporate Electric Ltd. will assist in installing, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting general electrical installation as well as generator and transfer switches. They will also assist with the ongoing maintenance of Corporate Electric’s vehicle fleet.

1. Oversee and/or perform, quotations, repairs, services, and start-up, loads banks test on all equipment.
2. Oversee and /or perform troubleshooting of equipment and generator components including but not limited to alternators, wiring harnesses, safety devices, shutdown switches, ATS, and battery systems.
3. Oversee and/or perform the application of proper engine technical skills inspection, disassembly, failure analysis, reassembly, diagnosis, and engine operating performance test.
4. Oversee and/or perform the commissioning of new generators and ATS.
5. Oversee and /or perform generator electrical preventive maintenance (PM) as scheduled.
6. Oversee and/or perform generator mechanical PM as scheduled.
7. Must be able to work and interpret BCU-approved drawings.
8. Delegate tasks to SGT GT and other workers as required.
9. Be able to communicate with contractors and customers on jobs.
10. May be required to occasionally work after hours as the job requires.
11. Assist SC by advising the service department if stock is getting low.
12. Keep company vehicles clean at all times.
13. Must wear all personal protection equipment required by all contractors on each job site for Corporate Electric Ltd. .
14. Must always wear company T-shirts except if wearing PPE is required.
15. Any other reasonable tasks assigned by Corporate Electric Ltd. from time to time.
16. Must be able to assist in ongoing training of SGT and GT through all available means.
17. Promotes generator sales within the department.
18. Is responsible for customer coordination and overall success of the generator department.
19. Any other duty as assigned by Corporate Electric Ltd.

Qualifications
1) Must have certification in generator installation/maintenance or University degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
2) Must have a current driver’s license.
3) Must be able to read drawings and service manuals.
4) Must be able to use a laptop and relevant technical software.
5) Must be willing to participate in any training or educational opportunities.
6) Must have a valid passport.
7) Must have a valid US visa or be able to travel to the USA for training.
8) May hold or be required to get an electrician license.
9) Must be willing to learn new product lines acquired by the company.
