FOOD PREPPER.

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Food Prepper to support our kitchen team. The Food Prepper will handle daily ingredient preparation, basic cooking tasks, safe storage, and sanitation to ensure smooth service and food safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, trim, cut, and portion meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, and fruit
• Set up and stock prep/work stations; organize ingredients per recipes and prep lists
• Perform basic cooking tasks (e.g., blanching/parboiling, sauce reductions, roasting, portioning)
• Package, and store food in designated containers; rotate stock using FIFO
• Take, record, and monitor temperatures of food, refrigerators, freezers, and hot-holding units
• Receive deliveries; verify quality, break down, and store items promptly
• Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace; clean and care for knives, tools, and equipment
• Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
• Minimize waste and support inventory counts
• Assist cooks/chefs during service and complete daily prep lists

Qualifications

• 5–6 years experience in a high-volume kitchen or similar prep role
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of safe food handling and storage
• Ability to read and follow recipes, prep lists, and portion standards
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in hot/cold environments
• Excellent time management, organization, and teamwork; dependable and punctual
• Food Handler certification
