Position: Food & Beverage Server
Salary : CI$8.75- CI$10.00 per hour (paid weekly)

Duties and Responsibilities

The Food and Beverage Server will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

Welcome and greet guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
Present menus, explain menu items, daily specials, and beverage selections to customers.
Accurately take customer food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to kitchen and bar staff.
Serve Jamaican dishes, beverages, and other menu items efficiently while ensuring high standards of presentation and service.
Monitor guest satisfaction throughout service and respond promptly to customer requests, concerns, or complaints.
Maintain detailed knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Prepare and issue customer bills and receipts in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure dining tables, service stations, and dining areas remain clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
Assist with setting up and preparing the restaurant for opening and closing operations.
Restock condiments, utensils, beverages, and other supplies as needed.
Follow all food handling, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.
Work closely with kitchen staff and bartenders to ensure timely and efficient service.
Assist in maintaining inventory and notifying supervisors when supplies are low.
Handle customer interactions professionally to promote a positive dining experience and encourage repeat business.
Support team members and management with additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a Food and Beverage Server or in a similar hospitality role.
Proven ability to provide excellent customer service in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Experience serving food and beverages professionally and efficiently.
Ability to accurately process customer payments and handle cash transactions responsibly.
Knowledge of proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks when necessary.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills
Experience serving Caribbean or Jamaican cuisine is an asset.
Basic knowledge of beverages, and restaurant service procedures.
Working Conditions
Work schedule may include shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Position requires prolonged standing, walking, lifting trays, and frequent interaction with customers.
Fast-paced restaurant environment requiring attention to detail and efficiency.
