Food & Beverage Runner.

We are accepting applications for the following position:

F&B RUNNER

RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE:

Serve food and beverages to guests
Share your menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests
Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items
Check-in with guests to assure satisfaction with each course
Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately
Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies)
Assist the wait staff with table setting by collecting and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins
Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. correct temperature)
Remove dirty dishes and utensils
Clean restaurant, complete closing duties and re-stock tableware and other supplies
Provide excellent customer service to all guests
Perform other related duties as may be required from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a high-volume restaurant is essential as a Food & Beverage Runner
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well in environment with time constraints
Ability to troubleshoot effectively
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, performing work accurately and efficiently
Must maintain a professional image
Ability to lift up to 25lbs; sit, stand, walk for an extended period of time
Must be comfortable working a flexible schedule including working outside of normal business hours (i.e. evenings, weekends and public holidays, as needed)
Be able to work inside and outside under various weather conditions

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

May be exposed to a noisy, humid and hot environment. Temperatures will vary depending on weather and location of work being conducted (indoors/outdoors).
Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling or otherwise move objects.
Frequently lift 25lbs, occasionally lift 50lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to walk throughout work shift to accomplish tasks
