Finish Carpenter/Drywall Installer.

• Installs foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using various types of material.
• Fit and install windows, door frames, doors, door hardware, trims using a carpenter’s level, plumb bob, and laser levels.
• Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.
• Read blueprints, sketches, & building plans. Prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
• Shape/cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Build/repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings,
• Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
• Inspect constructed area for breaks, cracks, or damages and repair/remove as needed.
• Move material around the jobsite as assigned and clean and dispose of worksite debris.
• Drywall application; prepping, painting and taping; Seal drywall joints, smooth out imperfections
• Fasten, measure, cut, and fit panels; Prep panels by swing, drill or cut out holes for outlets, etc.
• Paper tape and compound works; Apply second/third coats as needed; Sand after each coat

Qualifications / Skills:
• High school diploma and a valid driver’s license.
• At least one year experience as a drywall installer and 4 years of experience in commercial or residential carpentry
• Good knowledge of the tools, materials, and methods used in drywall installation
• Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers
• Good attention to detail, safety alertness and knowledge of the applicable safety guidelines
• Basic math skills, good problem-solving abilities, and exceptional customer service skills.
• Be physically fit and able to work long hours
• Ability to interpret construction blueprints. Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications.
• Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
