Knighthead Annuity and Life Assurance Company is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Enterprise Risk Management & Assurance Officer to join our Risk and Compliance Department in Cayman.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing global insurance organization and play an important role in the continued development of Knighthead’s ERM programme. Working across our U.S. and Cayman-based insurance and reinsurance businesses, you will gain broad exposure to enterprise risk, compliance, governance, regulatory matters, and assurance, while working closely with colleagues and senior stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Risk Management
• Maintain and update the risk management platform, enterprise and entity-level risk registers, risk inventories, and related ERM documentation.
• Support the mapping and ongoing alignment of enterprise risks, business process risks, and controls.
• Support enterprise and business-unit risk assessments.
• Track ERM actions, remediation activities, deadlines, and follow-ups.
• Monitor emerging risks, industry trends, regulatory developments, and other external factors that may impact the organization.
• Support the identification, assessment, documentation, and escalation of potential risks and opportunities.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards, presentations, and governance meeting packs.
• Coordinate ERM meetings, record actions, and drive follow-up.
• Support the development and implementation of the global ERM programme and related projects.
• Liaise with external consultants and advisers supporting ERM programme development and implementation.
• Support the drafting, review, and rollout of ERM policies, procedures, guides, templates, and manuals.
• Maintain ERM documentation and project plans and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Troubleshoot ERM process, system, data issues and coordinate resolutions.
• Work with stakeholders across the organization's global operations.
Compliance, Regulatory & Assurance
• Assist the Risk and Compliance Department in monitoring applicable regulatory guidance across relevant jurisdictions, including Statements of Guidance issued by CIMA and U.S. insurance regulatory developments.
• Support regulatory change monitoring and the assessment of developments relevant to the organization.
• Assist with compliance monitoring, reporting, and assurance activities, including documentation, tracking, and follow-up of findings and remediation actions.
• Support other Risk and Compliance initiatives and projects as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who brings a combination of relevant experience, curiosity, and a willingness to develop within a growing global organization.
• 2.5+ years’ relevant experience in ERM, risk, compliance, internal audit, governance, finance, or related discipline.
• A relevant professional qualification such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, ACAMS, or equivalent is preferred; candidates actively pursuing a qualification will also be considered.
• Experience in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services is advantageous; familiarity with fixed annuities is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience with GRC/risk management platforms such as Diligent and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Salary: USD65,000-$85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus benefits.
