Experienced Electrician required with 5–6 years’ relevant experience and an electrical qualification or equivalent experience and previously licensed as an Electrician in the Cayman Islands.
Duties include reading blueprints/technical diagrams; installing and maintaining wiring, control and lighting systems; inspecting transformers, circuit breakers and other electrical components; testing, diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults; and ensuring compliance with applicable electrical codes and building regulations.
The successful candidate will direct/train workers and supervise apprentices where required, respond to emergencies outside normal hours, and perform other related duties as necessary.
Applicants must have experience testing and inspecting newly installed equipment, good communication and teamwork skills, ability to work independently, and knowledge of risk assessment, Health & Safety and basic building techniques.
Must be self-motivated, organized, able to work in hazardous/stressful situations, and hold a clean driver’s licence.
Salary: KYD $15.00–$22.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Full-time position, 45 hrs./week, extended hours may be required and must be available for weekends.
