Applying joint compound and tape: Using taping knives, trowels, brushes, or spray guns to fill seams, cover screws and nails, and embed tape over joints

Sanding and smoothing: Once the compound dries, sanding surfaces to achieve a uniform, seamless finish

Texturing and finishing: Applying decorative textures or specialty finishes according to design specifications or client preferences

Collaborating with other trades: Working closely with drywall installers, carpenters, painters, and other construction professionals to ensure project completion according to plans and timelines

Mason:

Construction and Repair: Build and repair various structures, including walls, walkways, fences, and decorative stonework. Ensure that structures are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.

Blueprint Interpretation: Must read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications and requirements.

Material Preparation: Prepare surfaces and materials, which includes mixing mortar, cutting or shaping bricks and stones, and ensuring that all materials are ready for installation.

Laying and Aligning Materials: Lay bricks, stones, or blocks according to design specifications, ensuring proper alignment and level using tools like levels and plumb bobs.

Quality Control: Conducting quality checks to ensure that the construction meets safety and architectural standards. Must verify that all work is level and properly aligned

Maintenance and Restoration: Responsible for waterproofing, repairing, and restoring old masonry works, which may involve assessing damage and applying appropriate repair techniques
