Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist the Driller with day-to-day drilling operations at Tarpon Springs Quarry.
• Prepare and clear drilling areas before, during and after drilling operations.
• Shovel and remove loose rock, dirt, drill cuttings and other material from around drilled holes and work areas.
• Assist with clearing and preparing completed drill holes as required.
• Prepare, handle and place PVC pipe/casing into completed drill holes.
• Measure and cut PVC pipe/casing to the required lengths when necessary.
• Assist with marking and identifying drilling locations as directed.
• Move, carry and organise PVC pipe and other materials required for drilling operations.
• Keep drilling areas clean and free from debris and potential hazards.
• Assist with setting up cones, barriers and other safety controls around active drilling areas.
• Maintain a safe working distance from operating equipment and follow the Driller's instructions at all times.
• Perform general manual labour and ground-support duties associated with drilling operations.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Driller or Quarry Supervisor.
