We are looking to employ an experienced Dressmaker Helper to assist the Dressmaker with the mending, altering, and construct garments and other fabric-made articles according to customers' needs. The seamstress's responsibilities include all sew machines are cleaned each day, fitting room are clean and ready for use at all time.
Dressmaker Helper Responsibilities:
• Must be able to wake with tailor and dressmaker in the shop
• Clean the machines, serge machines, clean fitting room, iron and other sewing equipment in the shop.
• Clean up after all dressmakers
• Must have knowledge of cutting fabrics according to the Dressmaker direction, without issues.
• Must be able to take on and carryout minor garment mending, other simple dress maker task
• Must be able to assist the dressmaker during busy days in the shop.
• Ensuring that sewing machines and other equipment are in good working order.
• Assist with measurement of client
• Communicating with customers to determine their specifications, needs, and preferences.
• Using irons and pressing machines to erase the creases on garments and other articles.
