Director in our Software Development division
Responsibilities for this position include leading the continuing development of technology platforms for hedge fund administration, which includes the following components: investor services and compliance, portfolio management, accounting and valuation, portfolio construction, analytics, optimization, credit and equity derivatives valuation modeling. In this role, responsibilities will include writing and coding individual programs based on specific requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Specific Role Responsibilities
- Understands business requirements and manages technical solutions to satisfy those need.
- Supervises other members of the development team to envision, design, and implement long term architectures
- Development of technology platform for hedge fund administration, specifically: investor services and compliance, portfolio management, accounting and valuation, portfolio construction, analytics, optimization, credit and equity derivatives valuation modeling
- Tests performance of codes against large data sets
- Documents and presents aspects of the current and proposed future architecture(s)
- Researches and provides consultation regarding the use of third party products and technology trends
- Participates in the design and development of critical subsystems and software infrastructures
- Reproduces and fixes bugs escalated from the support department.
Managerial Responsibilities
- Manage team resource allocation, regular performance reviews, recruiting and training of Managers
- Contribute to the success of direct reports through coaching and mentoring
- Conduct performance reviews for direct reports
- Forecast team growth, interview and select candidates for hire
Other Responsibilities
- Provide support and technical expertise to Harmonic projects and initiatives as required

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualifications: A college or university graduate with Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or equivalent qualification
- Experience: 10+ years of experience working in a similar role in the financial services industry of which at least 2 must be at an Associate Director level. Experience must be related to business and include working on an international diversified team
- Knowledge: High level of expertise and technical knowledge of FM3 Fund Accounting software, and experience working on an international diversified team
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, SQL Server, IIS
- Experience maintaining large applications across entire Microsoft .NET stack: knowledge of C# language, SQL Server, IIS, ASP.NET MVC, and WinForms
- Experience using source control systems: Git.
- Experience deploying .NET and web applications to IIS-hosted Windows environments, including deployment configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with CSLA.NET framework.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud architecture.
- Knowledge of PowerShell, MSBuild, and NUnit
- Knowledge of virtual systems and computer resources.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps.
- Working knowledge of XML for application configuration, deployment, and integration-related tasks.
- Experience implementing application observability with Azure Application Insights, including telemetry, logging, alerting, and deployment diagnostics.
- Excel - advanced
- Experience with financial markets trading and accounting platforms.
- Knowledge of basic system administration concepts in a Microsoft Windows domain: user groups and permissions
- Knowledge of common network protocols. (TCP/IP, HTTP(S) and DNS)
- Knowledge of common networking concepts. (Firewalls, NAT, Subnetting, VPC, VPNs)
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux based systems.
- Familiarity with GitHub Advanced Security and secure development practices, including code-scanning concepts and the interpretation and remediation of findings.
- Knowledge of Azure Key Vault, managed identities, role-based access control (RBAC), and secure secrets and certificate management.
- Experience designing and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including YAML-based definitions, artifact management, and multi-environment releases.

SALARY and BENEFITS
- Salary USD$ 155,000 to $ 200,000
