Content and Communications Coordinator

Orchid Development is looking for a creative, organized and hands-on Content & Marketing Coordinator to support the day-to-day delivery of marketing and communications activities across its portfolio of brands, including Cricket Square, The Brasserie and associated food and beverage outlets, The Club and other Orchid Development businesses.
The role will have a strong focus on photography, videography and social media content production and will be responsible for capturing, editing, preparing and publishing engaging content in accordance with approved content plans, brand guidelines and established approval processes.
The postholder will also provide general marketing and administrative support, maintain organized marketing assets and content libraries, coordinate routine marketing requirements with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, and assist the Content & Communications Manager with the effective implementation of marketing and communications activities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Content Creation & Social Media Management
• Capture high-quality photography and video content for social media, digital channels, events, campaigns and other marketing requirements across Orchid Development's portfolio of brands.
• Proactively identify and capture relevant day-to-day and 'in-the-moment' content opportunities that showcase the businesses, people, amenities, events and experiences across the portfolio.
• Edit photography and video content for digital use, including the production of short-form video and Reels suitable for social media platforms.
• Produce social media content in accordance with approved content plans, campaigns, brand guidelines and creative direction provided by the Content & Communications Manager.
• Draft engaging social media captions that reflect the appropriate brand tone of voice, messaging and call to action.
• Schedule and publish approved content across relevant social media channels, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness.
• Publish and repost social media Stories and other time-sensitive content as required.
• Monitor and manage engagement across social media platforms, responding to comments, messages and enquiries in a professional and timely manner in accordance with established frameworks, and escalating customer issues, complaints or complex enquiries to the Content & Communications Manager.
• Monitor social media performance and platform analytics, compile relevant data and provide regular performance updates to the Content & Communications Manager.
• Monitor social media trends, content formats and platform developments and identify relevant content opportunities for consideration.
Content & Digital Asset Management
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date digital library of photography, videography, artwork, templates and other marketing assets.
• Establish and maintain logical folder structures, file naming conventions and archiving processes to ensure marketing materials can be easily located and reused.
• Source and select appropriate imagery from existing internal image libraries and approved external sources as required.
• Resize, crop, format and prepare digital assets for use across different marketing channels.
• Maintain content calendars and assist with tracking planned content, deadlines, approvals and publication dates.
Website & Digital Channel Support
• Action routine website content updates using WordPress or other designated content management systems.
• Upload approved copy, imagery, event information and other website content as required.
• Assist with maintaining accurate and current marketing content across digital screens and other customer-facing digital touchpoints.
• Identify website content issues and escalate technical or more complex requirements to the Content & Communications Manager or appropriate supplier.
Marketing Collateral & Creative Support
• Produce and update routine marketing materials using established Canva templates and approved brand assets.
• Adapt existing templates for items such as posters, flyers, social media graphics, event materials, labels, signage and other day-to-day marketing requirements.
• Prepare marketing materials for printing and distribution and ensure final files are accurate and appropriately formatted.
• Print and distribute approved marketing materials across relevant locations as required.
• Support the Content & Communications Manager and external agency with the rollout of campaign assets and marketing collateral.
• Ensure marketing materials remain consistent with established brand guidelines and escalate requirements for new or specialist design work.
Stakeholder & Supplier Coordination
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather information, imagery, event details, promotional requirements and other materials required for marketing activities.
• Follow up with stakeholders to ensure required information and approvals are received in accordance with agreed deadlines.
• Coordinate routine marketing requirements with external suppliers, including printers, signage companies and other production partners.
• Source quotations, arrange samples or proofs where required, track jobs through production and follow up with suppliers to ensure agreed deadlines are met.
• Maintain clear records of quotations, proofs, orders and completed marketing jobs.
• Escalate supplier issues, significant cost variances or production concerns to the Content & Communications Manager.
Campaign, Event & Administrative Support
• Support the implementation and rollout of approved marketing campaigns, promotions, events and activations.
• Provide on-site content support for events, including photography, videography and social media coverage.
• Assist with the preparation, organization and distribution of marketing materials required for campaigns and events.
• Support media and influencer visits with practical requirements as directed by the Content & Communications Manager.
• Assist with maintaining marketing calendars, databases, contact lists and administrative records.
• Support routine marketing procurement and job tracking, including obtaining quotations and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Undertake general marketing administration including printing, filing, labelling, asset organization and distribution.
• Undertake other duties as assigned in support of the marketing and communications objectives of the business.
Education/Experience
• Associate’s degree in marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Audio/Visual Production, Photography or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years' relevant experience in content creation, social media, digital marketing, photography, videography or a related role.
• Demonstrable experience capturing and editing photography and video content for social media and digital platforms.
• Experience producing short-form video content, including Reels or similar social-first video formats.
• Experience drafting social media captions and publishing content across major social media platforms.
• Experience working within a multi-brand, hospitality, food and beverage, wellness, property or lifestyle environment would be an advantage.
• Previous experience making routine website updates using WordPress or a similar content management system would be an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong photography and videography skills, with the ability to confidently capture high-quality content in a range of environments.
• Strong video and photo editing skills with a good understanding of content requirements for social media.
• Good writing, spelling, grammar and proofreading skills, with the ability to draft concise and engaging social media copy and follow established brand tone-of-voice guidelines.
• Strong working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other relevant social media platforms.
• Ability to interpret basic social media analytics, identify key performance trends and prepare clear performance updates for the Content & Communications Manager.
• Working knowledge of WordPress or similar content management systems.
• Competence using Canva and established templates to produce and adapt routine marketing materials.
• Good visual judgement and a strong eye for detail, composition and brand consistency.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to maintain structured digital filing systems, content libraries and marketing assets.
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to liaise professionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to identify content opportunities and follow tasks through to completion.
• Able to work independently on assigned tasks while recognising when guidance, approval or escalation is required.
• Takes direction well and responds positively and professionally to feedback, revisions and changes in creative direction.
• Reliable, flexible and comfortable working across multiple brands with differing audiences and communication styles.
Salary: CI $50,000-$60,000 paid monthly, plus a competitive compensation package commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications.
