Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter / Steelman to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures and formwork, as well as fabricating, assembling, and installing steel reinforcement and structural steel components according to project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Carpentry Duties:

Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials.
Construct and install formwork for concrete structures.
Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Repair and maintain existing wooden structures and fixtures.
Ensure all carpentry work is completed accurately and efficiently.

Steelman Duties:

Cut, bend, and fix reinforcing steel bars and mesh for concrete structures.
Assemble and install steel components according to engineering drawings.
Tie reinforcement bars using appropriate techniques and tools.
Assist with the positioning and securing of steel frameworks before concrete placement.
Inspect steel installations to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Carpenter, Steelman, or in a similar construction role.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.
Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and steel-fixing equipment.
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant trade certification or vocational training is an advantage.
