CARPENTER.

Jessana Amara Watson T/A K & J Construction is looking to hire a skilled carpenter with knowledge of various carpentry techniques.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, molding, and hardware.
Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, electricians, pipefitters, and plumbers to help construct or renovate buildings.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a carpenter with a minimum of 5 years in the construction industry.
Thorough knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.).
Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
Good understanding of basic math and ability to perform calculations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work in diverse environments.
Available to work on weekends and holidays when needed.
With a Clean Police record.
