Buyer (Purchaser) Merchandiser/Metal Framer.

• Procure all material required for building projects and ensure they are provided on time and within allocated budgets.
• Ensure the profitability of business contracts by purchasing the most cost-effective and appropriate materials for each job.
• Establish and maintain good client-vendor relationships with both local and overseas vendors.
• Study specifications to determine installation requirements and procedures
• Prepare equipment and tools, including scaffolding, ladders, tape measures, straightedges, hand tools, and power tools.
• Chalk-line reference lines and points to level metal frames and furring channels.
• Measure and cut metal runners, studs, and furring channels to required sizes.
• Install horizontal and vertical metal studs to frames to attach wallboards.
• Measure, cut, fit, and fasten drywall boards onto the frames.
• Cut clean, tidy openings into boards for electrical outlets, vents, and fixtures.
• Install metal framing and decorative trim for windows, doorways, and vents.
• Supervise general construction workers, when required.
• Ensure compliance with construction industry specifications and safety standards.
Requirements
• Valid driver’s licence
• Negotiation, Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong Math and budgeting abilities
• Apprenticeship or equivalent training in the construction industry and working with construction
tools and materials.
• 3 or more years of experience in metal stud-framing.
• Exceptional ability in planning installations and taking accurate measurements.
• In-depth knowledge of fasteners and extensive experience in installing drywall panels.
• Keen attention to detail and experience in overseeing general construction workers.
• Physically fit, able to work long hours, move and lift construction materials and assemble
equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of construction industry safety specifications and regulations.
• Ability to work from own initiative and planning
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
