Job Description
Cayman Customs Automotive, (#4/5 120 Gum Tree, Beckz Close, Grand Cayman) is looking for a skilled Automotive Technician (or equivalent). The position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, from luxury to performance brands, with precision and care in accordance with factory and dealership quality specifications. The role demands strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to Cayman Customs Automotive's values of quality, safety, and exceptional customer service.

Core Responsibilities & Expectations
• Represent the brand values and customer experience established by Cayman Customs Automotive:

• Perform a wide range of automotive repairs, replacements, maintenance, and upgrades across multiple brands and vehicle types (considered an asset if candidate has concentrated experience with premium brands or dealership experience (e.g., Land Rover Defender, Porsche, Ferrari, Jeep, Mercedes, Toyota, Jaguar, etc). Areas of work include:
o Engines, fuel, and fluid systems
o Electronic and diagnostic systems
o Exhaust and intake systems
o Suspension, brakes, and tires
o Steering, transmission, and cooling systems (including A/C)
o Minor body work, welding, and fabrication
o Onboard computer systems and internal components (gauges, clusters, controls)
• Use OEM and third-party diagnostic tools to accurately identify and resolve faults. Perform preventative maintenance such as oil and filter changes, tire rotations, and manufacturer-specified services. Conduct safety checks, emissions inspections, and other regulated examinations.
• Maintain clear, professional written and verbal communication. Prepare accurate repair estimates, work logs, and service documentation. Present information clearly to colleagues, clients, and management.
• Customer Service: Communicate with professionalism, clarity, and patience.
• Inspect and detail each vehicle upon completion to verify workmanship, performance, and safety. Maintain strict attention to detail and compliance with all safety protocols.
• Ensure all tools, supplies, and materials are cleaned and stored properly at the end of each workday.
• A valid driver’s license is required for conducting test drives and vehicle assessments.

Education and Experience Requirement
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a qualified Automotive Technician (or equivalent).
• Would be considered an asset if candidate has concentrated experience with premium brands or dealership experience (e.g., Land Rover, Defender, Porsche, Ferrari, Jeep, Mercedes, Toyota, Jaguar, etc).

Other Requirements
• Valid Driver’s License (minimum 3 years).
• Clean police record.
• Fluent in English.

Compensation and Benefits
• Salary: KYD $2,800.00 – $4,700.00 per month (COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS)
• Benefits in accordance with CI Labour Act.
• This is a full-time position with a working week of 45 hours, any overtime and holiday hours paid in lieu of time worked
