Automotive Paint & Body Technician.

Job Description
Cayman Customs Automotive, (#4/5 120 Gum Tree, Beckz Close, Grand Cayman) is looking for a skilled Automotive Paint & Body Technician (or equivalent). The position involves prepare and paint luxury to performance brands with precision and care in accordance with factory and dealership quality specifications and time standards. The role demands strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to Cayman Customs Automotive's values of quality, safety, and exceptional customer service.

The job consists of the following tasks but not limited to;
• Prepare paint and supplies for the job.
• Paint and/or refinish repair areas on vehicles to achieve a better than factory finish.
• Prep cars for paint jobs which include mask tape and wet sand.
• Repair dents, primer vehicles, prepare vehicles before painting, sand and polish.
• Proficiency in color matching,
• Knowledge of different paint systems, experience with spray guns and other painting equipment,
• Utilize many paint brands including DuPont, PPG, Sikkens, Valspar, and other after- market products.
• Apply the paint by using HVLP Paint guns using solvents, water base coats and ceramic coating.
• Specialize in design and execution of custom paint schemes/artwork including application of base coats, clear coats and ceramic coating.
• Familiarity with safety protocols, and attention to detail.
• Detail/inspect final job for quality.
• Clean and store properly all supplies and materials when finished.
• Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
• Entrust to paint luxury cars, including but not limited to; Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, and Maserati.

Education and Experience Requirement
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a qualified Automotive Paint & Body Technician (or equivalent).
Required Skills
• Ability to manage jobs from initial repair through to finished paintwork.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• In-depth industry knowledge with the ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Detail-oriented, neat, and consistently focused on quality.
• Honest, reliable, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Other Requirements
• Valid Driver’s License (minimum 3 years).
• Clean police record.
• Fluent in English.

Compensation and Benefits
• Salary: KYD $2,700 – $3,750 per month (COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS).
• Overtime to be paid at a rate of KYD$25/hour.
• Benefits in accordance with CI Labour Act.
• This is a full-time position with a working week of 45 hours, any overtime and holiday hours paid in lieu of time worked
