Auto Mechanic Assistant/Tow Truck Operator.

R&R Auto Ltd is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of Auto Mechanic Assistant/Tow Truck Operator. The appointed individual will be required to perform emergency road service, towing, accident recovery and abandoned vehicle recovery using assigned truck and towing equipment. This multi-faceted individual will also be required to posses Auto Mechanic experience to allow him/her to assist the Mechanics
in servicing, adjusting, performing minor repair and preventative maintenance of
Vehicles in R&R Auto Ltd. garage. The selected individual must be able to be on call 24 hours per day every day of the week. Taken in regards that normal working hour is from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays 8:00am to 2:00pm. You will represent the company by being professional and provide great customer service.

The duties and responsibilities of a tow truck driver/Auto Mechanic Assistant will include but are not limited to the following:

• Communicating with a dispatcher, and ensuring all invoices are entered into the towing system and all payments collected.
• Arrive at work on time daily, ready for duty when shift starts
• Provide Towing and roadside assistance in a safe, professional and timely manner, free of accident, injury and damage.
• Submit accurate invoices and appropriate payment on time for processing
• Complete pre-trip-inspection sheets daily
• Maintain consistent excellent attendance
• Abide by the road code, Laws, rules ordinances and maintain a clean driving record
• Maintain truck and equipment in a safe, clean state, operation it in a safe and professional manner
• Consistently ensure quality customer service through professionalism, timely response, skill and courtesy
• Maintain personal appearance and hygiene and uniforms in compliance with established Company standards
• Mechanical Repair for the Company.
• Keeping tools and equipment clean.
• Check all Company vehicles and make sure they are in good running condition.
• Collecting material on parts.
• Must be able to stay on call at all times
• Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Change oil, lubricate vehicles, check mechanical equipment, batteries, fan belts, air and oil filters, wiper blades, headlights, lamps, tires, tubes Etc.
• Clean exterior and interior of Vehicles as required including washing Engine
• Respond to emergency road calls and repair vehicles as necessary. Assist Mechanics in the performance of mechanical repairs as needed.
• Any other duties may be determined by the Employer from time to time

Job Qualification Requirement

• At the very least, candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a record of safe driving to become a tow truck operator.
• Experience operating a tow truck.
• knowledge of standard practices, methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of various types of automotive
• Skill in the operation of a variety of tools and equipment used in automotive repair and maintenance activities.
• Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Must be able to speak and write English.
• Computer literate
• Ability to work effectively and establish good working relationships with other employees.
• Ability to work effectively with the general public.
• Ability to be able to be on call 24 hours per day every day of the week. Taken in regards that normal working hour is from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays 8:00am to 2:00pm.
• Identify automotive and machine parts.
• Oil, grease, and service automotive and mechanical equipment.
• Perform less skilled tasks involved in servicing, maintaining, adjusting, and repairing mechanical equipment.
• Recognize routine mechanical difficulties and malfunctions.
• Any professional Certification would be advantageous.
• Meet the physical and mental requirements as established by a licensed physician and/or psychologist selected by R&R Auto Ltd.

Experience and Education

• Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would include:
• Experience: Ten year of experience in a related field.
• Education: Completion of the twelfth grade.
• License or Certificate: Possession of a valid Cayman Islands driver's license.
