Responsible for fabrication of parts for trucks, machinery, plant and heavy equipment using all types of welding equipment. Must be able to fabricate and weld various types of metals using oxy/acetylene, mig, tig and arc welding equipment. Must also be able to maintain welding equipment. Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a welder and fabricator working on all types of trucks, machinery and heavy equipment. Must be able to read and understand drawings, diagrams and schematics. Must also be able to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment used in and around fabrication shops. Will be required to work independently much of the time. Must have a valid Group 4 driver’s license with a clean driving and police record. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays when required. Only candidates that meet the above criteria will be interviewed. A practical test of skills and knowledge will be administered to short-listed candidates. Drug and alcohol testing may be required.
